Not knowing how to help when your baby is in distress can be one of the scariest things for a parent or caregiver. Join this crash course to arm yourself with skills that could save your baby's life. Recognize when a child needs breathing assistance and learn the important techniques to respond to a choking emergency in a safe, timely, and effective manner.
Certified by the American Heart Association, Ashley Meves, RN, a registered nurse who previously practiced at CHOP's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, will lead this class with hands-on demonstrations of various rescue methods.
This workshop will equip you with the tools you need to feel prepared in emergency situations, with a specific focus on CPR and choking measures. In this webinar, you will learn:
- How to perform CPR on an infant or child
- How to use an AED (Automatic External Defibrillator)
- How to recognize the signs of choking
- How to handle emergencies
